Hereditary influence: Moderate

Notes: The outcome of a “Chimera” child depends on which parent carries the child. If the “chimera” carries the child it will be a “chimera” and if it's the other then the child will be of that race but omnivorous.

Environmental influence: Moderate

Notes: Their influence is more base don their hunger. They have been known to cause species to go extinct or become endangered when in large groupings with little regulation.

Notes: Much like their form, their weaknesses can change at the drop of a hat so no common weakness is known

Notes: Their resistances can also change frequently based on their diet

Locations, common: Any

Notes: “Chimeras” have a preference of places with a large variety of species. Due to their dietary habits they're usually ostracized however so find it difficult to fit in. As a result they usually have to settle for settlements out in the wild.

Climate preference: Varies

Notes: “Chimeras” have tastes matching what they have become, so one that has eaten large amounts of sea life would prefer aquatic environments and ones that have eaten forest dwelling creatures would prefer forested areas.

Language: Any-Chimeras are very versatile and are very quick to learn new languages. Any innate language can be learned through their “Consume” ability.

Place of origin: Unknown, they just kinda pop up out of no where and it freaks people out. Theories have been made linking them to “Changelings” but nothing is conclusive yet.

Special Abilities-

Consume-A “Chimera” can take on the traits of anything they eat. This can be as simple as a slight color change to something as drastic as growing tusks or wings.

Pick and Choose-A “Chimera” is capable of changing what traits they display for short periods of time. Over indulgence of a single food source in a short period of time can cause a change to become permanent.

Trivia

• Chimeras are prone to a violent surge of blood lust which is the main reason they're social pariahs. Once they've sunk their teeth into something they have a powerful urge to consume the entire thing regardless of only needing that one bite to activate the “consume” ability.

• As a result of their blood lust, biting is seen as an incredible sign of trust in partners as it can result in the evisceration of a partner.

• Permanent changes are usually obtained because a “chimera” wanted a specific trait from something to be permanent. It's a massive crapshoot on whether or not the favored trait, such as wings capable of flight, will be obtained.

• “Chimeras” can only obtain traits that a creature would be born with. As a result, should they bite a body builder they would not be able to obtain their muscle mass as it was gained through work not nature.

• Regardless of their blood lust, no act of cannibalism between “chimeras” have been documented. Theorists believe it is because they would gain nothing from another of their own kind.

• “Chimeras” that work with raw meat are required to wear respirators to avoid the impending desire to eat what they're working with. It is also a precaution to avoid the creation of a Glutton.
